Halloween Activity Round Up

Halloween with Ice Cream Castles

It's October and there are Halloween happenings everywhere! Here is a list of some of our fave places and activities for the littles.

1. Underwood Farms Harvest Festival

This super fun and festive annual event is in full swing. Visit a real working farm, pick your pumpkins, and enjoy pony rides, a petting zoo, rides, and games. You can buy advance tickets by clicking here

2. Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch

A celebrity favorite, this Halloween haunt is open until October 30th. Mr. Bones has pumpkins, games, and super cute photo ops. Go early! Find out more information on their website

3. Nights of the Jack

This event boasts nighttime fun with hundreds of illuminated pumpkins in Calabasas. Go early and walk the trail and stay for the food trucks, music, and photo ops. Get tickets by clicking here. Spoiler alert: it is exactly the same as last year.

4. Carved at Descanso Gardens

Walk the gardens and see hundreds of carved pumpkins. We were so excited to hear that Descanso Gardens brought back a Halloween event this year. Tickets are almost sold out but you can still score some by clicking here

5. Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland

We always love any excuse to go to Disneyland! And you score some major candy at this one. Tickets are sold out, but it's something to keep in mind for next year.

6. Natural History Museum of Horror

Opening on October 10 this new exhibit boasts a sizable collection of classic horror movie memorabilia along with the scientific inspiration for notable characters like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Mummy. While you're there be sure to check out the Spider Pavillion and if you are really brave there is always the Halloween themed sleepover on October 25- if you dare... For more info, click here.

7. Boo at the LA Zoo

Included with regular admission, this event is always fun for the littles and when they tire of the Halloween festivities, there are so many more things to see! Event runs until October 27 with Trick or Treating offered on the weekends. Get your zoo tickets here

8. Haunted Halloween Party at the Disney Store

Super cute Disney themed Halloween "party" at select Disney store locations. Get there early as they tend to run out of the giveaways. Find your local store and RSVP by clicking here

9. Paw Patrol Trick or Treat Event at Target

For the littles who love Paw Patrol this event is really cute and at one of our fave places, Target! If you don't like crowds, skip this one 😉 Find out more by clicking here

10. Halloween at the local mall

Sometimes there is nothing better than heading to the nearest mall for some early and contained Halloween fun. The weather is always predictable, you can totally bring a stroller, and a lot of times you get cool freebies! These events usually take place in the afternoon so you can either pre-game here before heading out for the night or have your kids home and in bed at a reasonable hour (since Halloween is on a school night). We found these local malls to be having cool events: Westfield Topanga and the Village, Westfield Culver City, Westfield Valencia, Plaza West Covina, Sherman Oaks Galleria (this one is on the 30th).

And of course if your kiddos need some new threads for any (or all) of these events we have rounded up our fave Ice Cream Castles looks for Halloween here! 🎃

Which of these events have you attended? Which ones do you want to try? Let us know in the comments below!

Happy Halloween!
